We have an exciting opportunity at Roberts Bakery to join our Hygiene and Asset Care team.

 

Role Purpose

To assist the Roberts Hygiene & Asset Care Manager with the management of hygiene planning, allocation of tasks, training and cover. Whilst ensuring that standards meet customer expectations, legislation, company requirements and established industry standards. To recommend improvements to hygiene systems and assist with the introduction of new initiatives. To ensure compliance with the Health & Safety management system to ensure hazards are identified, risk assessed and controlled.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Maintain and review all hygiene schedules, CIC’s, SOPs, SOW’s, WIs equipment, PPE and chemicals in accordance with business needs.
  • Co-ordinate and ensure deep cleaning schedules are maintained for major plant cleans.
  • Liaise with the Asset Care & Hygiene Manager in manpower planning to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Update Asset Care & Hygiene Departments KPI’s,
  • Ensure the management of absence, holiday approvals, staffing levels etc. conform to Company policies and procedures.
  • Manage all Health and Safety issues in accordance with Company requirements. Ensure COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments, Manual Handling, Permit-to-Work, and Contractor Controls are in place and adhered to.
  • Monitor and manage the ‘Pest Control’ service ensuring this is carried out in accordance with the agreed contract and good practice, keeping necessary reports.
  • Liaise with Building Maintenance and Engineering management to ensure any required repair work is carried-out in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure all external and internal areas are well maintained and are in a clean and tidy condition at all times. This also includes external waste areas and internal waste streams in the factory.
  • Provide support and assistance during internal and external customer audits.
  • Maintain and check competency of staff for ongoing training requirements for asset care, hygiene and specialist tasks

Qualifications / Skills required or working towards

·        Fully conversant in the use Janus & Wish for hygiene management

·        Full understanding of BRC and AIB Good Manufacturing Training

·        HACCP Level 3

·        FME Level 3 - working towards

·        IOSH - Managing Safely or equivalent

·        Presentation skills/effective communications

·        Train the trainer

Shift Pattern: 42 hours / week
