 About me

I am 54-year-old lady living in Lower Cambourne, I have chronic fatigue which I describe as a brain fog, my children have been supporting me for many years.

I have the following diagnoses: fibromyalgia, metabolic syndrome, sleep disorder, chronic fatigue, asthma, arthritis in my hands, and hearing loss.

I experienced a heart attack in 2013 and cancer in 2016.

I am also borderline malnourished due to a condition that leaves me feeling nauseas during each meal which can result in regular vomiting.

Days/times can be discussed – I am flexible and willing to negotiate

The post will include 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro-rata)

What you would be doing…

Support from a PA to help me get showered when I choose (dependent on my fatigue). Support with applying any cream for my body on my instructions.

Due to my Metabolic Syndrome I need to plan and eat a healthy nutritious diet. I need support from PA to prepare and provide my meals.

I need support with simple household tasks including washing up, cleaning kitchen work tops, and cleaning my bathroom after I have used it.

Some admin tasks and chasing up appointments etc.  I need someone with me when I go to my appointments due to my fatigue and `brain fog`.

Establish a close working relationship on a one-to-one basis and discuss and resolve problems as they arise.  Needs may vary on a daily basis, therefore hours, duties and tasks may alter from the care plan.

The person I would like…

Someone who enjoys being active, who has the skills to give me support with building my confidence & self esteem & promoting my independence.

Be hardworking, reliable, committed, honest, and trustworthy with a cheerful a sense of humour.  Some knowledge and experience with working with people with health conditions would be useful but not essential.

In return you will have the opportunity to practice your skills, keep up to date with professional development as training will be provided.

I have one fostered dog and one cat – both well behaved
