Support worker/Carer required for a young man with brain injury and Aspergers syndrome

An experienced support worker who is reliable, punctual, and flexible is required to support an adult man based in Southwark, SE1(Borough). The ideal candidate would live locally within about a 5 mile radius of the area.


The ideal candidate should possess a calm, kind and caring disposition with a good sense of humour.


The candidate should be trustworthy, very compassionate, respectful and organised. They will need to have a professional work ethic with the highest regard to confidentiality and discretion. They will need to know how to cook, be able to follow precise instructions and clean up after themselves.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing meals and encouraging to eat

Encouraging self care / hygiene


Accompanying to appointments and activities in the community

Assist with traveling

General housework

Shopping for food supplies

Meal planning

Any other duties suitable to this role (To be discussed)


*The successful candidate will be part of a team of PA’s and will be expected to cover each other on annual leave and sick leave*. You will also need to be willing to undertake appropriate training for this role which can be provided.


A level 2 Diploma in Health and Social care is desirable as well as a recent enhanced DBS and checkable references.



Hours:             14 Hrs per week minimum (Monday- Sunday)

                        needs to flexible.



Proof of entitlement to work in the UK will be required at interview.
