RADIOGRAPHER

We are looking for a RADIOGRAPHER for one of the top hospitals in Ilford

The selected candidate is expected to provide a high standard of care.

JOB PURPOSE:

• Evaluate patients’ medical condition and history to determine the most suitable radiographic technique for diagnosis
• Interact with patients to offer them psychological support and address their concerns regarding an imaging procedure
• Adjust diagnostic equipment to deliver an accurate amount of radiation to patients
• Operate complex medical instruments such as MRIs, CT scanners, X-rays, ultrasound, and several other imaging devices
• Liaise with oncologists and physicians to plan treatment for cancer patients

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
• Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered 
• IV Cannulation 
• Maintains a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Portfolio 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE :

• Minimum 3 years post registration experience and a minimum of 1 year CT experience 
• Excellent CT knowledge 
• Ability to deliver excellent patient care 
• Experience with Cardiac CT 
• Experience with contrast studies 

APTITUDE & ABILITIES :

• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Time management skills 
• Good IT skills  
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to prioritize and work under pressure   
• Highly motivated 
• Supervisory skills 

All candidates must hold or be in the process of obtaining a Full GMC Registration.
