 Personal Care Assistant wanted for private client in Grantham

Approx 20 hours per week

About Me

This client is looking for a personal care assistant. She is a 60 year old lady, mainly bedbound and has mental health issues. This lady enjoys crafting and is interested in world events. Tends to be apprehensive with new people and situations.

Main Duties

PERSONAL CARE

Assisting the patient with bathing, personal care and getting dressed

Administering oral and topical medication under the supervision of medical personnel

HOUSEWORK

Handling household tasks

Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate time and shopping if required

MOBILITY ASSISTANCE

Helping with wheelchair and access to shops and hospital appointments

COMPANIONSHIP

Providing mental and emotional support as required

Hours & Pay Rate

Approx 20 hours per week

Starting pay 10.50 an hour going to 12.50 for NVQL3

Night and weekend work required but on a rota basis

Person Specification

Local to Grantham area, being flexible with 6 other team members

In shifts and times as required. Training will be given with the prospect of gaining NVQL3 in social care over time and the associated increase in pay. Looking for caring individual with the patience and understanding of the ailments that may confront them.
