Salary; £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

Hours; Monday-Friday, the hours of work will be flexible to meet the business demands and will include weekends and evenings.

Who are we looking for…?

We are looking for an experienced Recruiter, Scheduler and People Manager who has experience working in the events industry nationally. The ideal applicant will have managed large scale recruitment and deployment of personnel. This role will be based in our head office in the Midlands. 

If successful, you will be overseeing our personnel functions (Recruitment, Vetting and Scheduling) and working closely with our Coordinators, which places you at the heart of our business. You will work closely with all core functions of our business to manage sourcing, planning and overseeing the day-to-day management of our casual workforce in line with our client's requirements.

As Workforce Manager, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that the Recruitment, Vetting and Scheduling KPIs are met
  • Working closely with department heads to forecast future personnel needs
  • Monitor retention and tailor departmental processes and initiatives to improve this.
  • Ensuring that all processes are adhered to and updating current processes
  • Working within best practice guidelines to comply with industry regulations
  • Lead change to facilitate our continual aim to deliver the best service to our candidates and clients.
  • Establish & maintain key stakeholder relationships
  • Conduct audits to assess the quality of processes with a constant drive to deliver continuous improvement and a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Managing, leading, and developing the casual workforce staffing team. Acting as a point of escalation for resolutions.

The successful Workforce Manager will have the following experience:

  • Over 5 years experience in an equivalent management role, i.e., as a Recruitment Manager, Resourcing Manager, Resource Deployment Manager, Scheduling Manager, Staffing Manager
  • Have experience working in the events industry
  • Knowledge of in-house recruitment and scheduling ideally within transport, logistics or events
  • Good IT literacy, particularly MS Excel
  • Experience in using a workforce management system
  • A full clean driving license
  • Excellent time and resource management skills
  • Strong customer service experience
  • The ability to work to a high standard under pressure is paramount
  • Positive energy and the ability to motivate those around you
  • Business-minded and keen to bring new ideas to the table
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR / Payroll practices would be advantageous
