Support Worker for a 22 year old young man with Special Needs
An experienced personal assistant/support worker who is reliable, energetic and creative is required to support a young person with special needs based in Southwark.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with young people with special needs and possess a calm, kind and caring disposition.
The ideal candidate will be punctual and needs to be able to work on a flexible basis.
The candidate should be trustworthy, very compassionate and respectful. They will need to have a professional work ethic with the highest regard to confidentiality and discretion.
A level 2 Diploma in Health and Social care is desirable but not essential; at least 1 years’ experience working with special needs children or young people is preferred.
The candidate will need to take the 20 year old young person out in the community and keep him safe at all times, doing interesting things with him
Hours: 5 hrs per week at the weekend
Rate: £ 12.63 gross per hour (paid on a 4 weekly basis)
Proof of entitlement to work in the UK will be required at interview.
An Enhanced Disclosure Barring Check will be required for this position.
