About the Role

The People Advisor will support the People Manager for the UK & NEMEA (UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland & South Africa) with day to day People Operations, being the first point of contact between the People team and our employees within the region & supporting global needs as required. 

The ideal candidate will be organised and a pragmatic problem solver. You will be a confident communicator and comfortably build relationships with global stakeholders. You will be confident working in an ambiguous environment, with changing priorities and taking initiative on tasks.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responding to People queries relating to People policies and procedures
  • Supporting the People manager with maintaining local and global People policies
  • Managing the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, day to day People operations and offboarding
  • Onboarding activities, including drafting offer letters and contracts from templates, reference requests, onboarding schedules, sending welcome emails and induction diary invites, right to work checks, work visas etc
  • Offboarding activities, including resignation acceptance letters, exit interviews, etc
  • Preparing employee lifecycle documentation, such as homeworking letters, job change letters, etc.
  • Managing employee relations cases, such as absence review, disciplinary investigations & hearings, grievance process and performance management
  • Maintaining employee records and people databases from multiple sources, such as HR information systems and manual headcount and payroll spreadsheets
  • Preparing monthly headcount and payroll reports
  • Supporting in the maintenance of our employee engagement platform, Peakon
  • Support with Group People projects as required

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 years experience working within generalist HR position
  • Experience managing employee relations cases
  • Good knowledge of local labour law
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications
  • Understand and speak English fluently

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • CIPD Qualified or working towards
  • Experience working in a global HR role, preferably within NEMEA region
  • English and any other languages (Norwegian, Swedish, Finish)
