Warehouse & FLT Operative (Reach & Counterbalance)

DESPATCH TEAM

Hours:  37.5 hours per week (rotating shifts)

06:00 – 14:00 & 14:00 – 22:00 (includes £4.00 / day shift bonus)

The purpose of this role is to unload and load vehicles in a timely and safe manner and provide full warehouse support to production. Upon completion of training the successful candidate will work a 2 week rotation on a shift basis.

Warehouse Duties:

• Load and unload vehicles
• Accurate and timely picking of both ambient and frozen raw materials to be distributed to production and other sites.
• Ensure stock rotation and correct labelling is performed on all materials
• Check raw materials against delivery notes
• Input figures into computer
• Completion of relevant paperwork and quality checks
• Perform stock takes as required
• Perform checks of finished goods before dispatching off site
• Will be working in Cold stores and chillers and adverse weather conditions however PPE will be provided
• Ensure waste is recycled via the appropriate waste stream
• Ensure excellent housekeeping is performed in the warehouse and that all duties are performed following Health & Safety procedures
• Work with team to ensure warehouse is ‘audit ready’ at all times
• Cover other areas and perform all duties as requested by Line Manager

 Requirements:

• Must have a high level of numeracy and be computer literate. A knowledge of  TROPOS (MRP system) would be beneficial but not essential
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be able to work to tight deadlines and have the ability to prioritise own workload
• Should be an active team member
• Must have the ability to use own initiative to solve problems
• Must be able to work weekends and Bank Holidays as required
• Would be beneficial to have a current driving license

Reach truck and counter balance licenses required.
