A Little About Me
I am a cheerful lady who lives with disabilities in Forden. I require a flexible and respectful Personal Assistant to assist me with my day-to-day living. I prefer to be at home in my serene environment and really enjoy conversing as it keeps my mind active. I am an animal lover and have four friendly dogs, two cats, sheep, cows, and chickens.
Hours / Days Of Work
9 Hours Per Week (Pro Rata)
Thursday – From 9am for around 2 hours / From 19:00 for 45 minutes.
Friday – From 9am for around 3.5 hours
Saturday – From 9am for around 2 hours / From 19:00 for 45 minutes
PLEASE NOTE -THESE TIMES ARE ONLY A ROUGH ESTIMATE AND THE SUCESSFUL A PPLICANT WILL NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE TO MY CARE NEEDS.
Please note – Overtime is available on an ad-hoc basis to cover annual leave / absence and additional needs as they arise, so flexibility is required of the successful applicant(s).
Rate Of Pay
£9.85 per hour – Additional 12 miles mileage available to support with travel costs to and from home – my house.
- Double pay on Bank Holidays
- Pay Frequency – Monthly - By BACS.
General Tasks Involved
- Assistance with personal care – including support with showering / bathing and dressing.
- Help with food preparation.
- Constructive support with hobbies, interests, and activities at home.
- Support with domestic tasks as required including ironing.
- Other reasonable tasks required during the hours.
Type of Person Required
- A person with caring experience would be preferred although not essential as all relevant training will be given.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- A person(s) who is flexible and adaptable – with the ability to provide additional hours as and when required.
- A person(s) with vision and ability to work unsupervised and sensibly, using their own initiative
- A person(s) who is practical
- A person(s) who are dependable and reliable
- A person(s) who respects privacy and confidentiality
- A person(s) who find the working hours suitable to their lifestyle.
- A person(s) who holds a full driving licence
- A person(s) who have a positive commitment to this kind of work
- A person(s) who have a friendly, gentle and patient manner
About the Job
- The successful applicant(s) will be subject to a 3-month probationary period.
- A DBS will be required – you will not incur costs to yourself for this.
- The Successful applicant(s) will be required to be flexible to support the existing team with sickness and annual leave cover
- Two relevant references will be required.
- You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year.
