Support worker for a child with special needs

An experienced personal assistant/carer who is reliable, energetic and creative is required to support an 12-year-old child with special needs  based in Southwark, SE16(Bermondsey). The child is non verbal but very easy going

The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with children with special needs and possess a calm, kind and caring disposition.

The ideal candidate will be punctual and needs to be able to work on a flexible basis.

The candidate should be trustworthy, very compassionate and respectful. They will need to have a professional work ethic with the highest regard to confidentiality and discretion.

A level 2 Diploma in Health and Social care is desirable but not essential; at least 1 years’ experience working with special needs children is preferred.

The candidate will need to take the child out in the community, and always keep the child safe.

Hours:          4 Hours per week mainly at the weekend

Rate:            £12.00 per hour (paid on a 4 weekly basis)

Proof of entitlement to work in the UK will be required at interview.

An Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service Certificate/Check will be required for this position.
