Facilities Project Surveyor
Accept Recruitment have teamed up with a hugely successful Facilities Management business based in Oxford and are recruiting for a Facilities Project Surveyor.
If you are a consummate professional, coupled with the ambition to be a key player in maintaining and further shaping the current facilities management services for the rapidly expanding plc life sciences clients, we are keen to open up a conversation.
As Project Surveyor, you will be tasked with supporting client’s business growth with the need for high quality FM services and so you will be charged with developing new facilities for R&D and production.
This role is primarily remote working with occasional attendance to the client’s offices in Oxford and the surrounding area and so flexibility will be expected to meet with project requirements.
·Understanding and interpretation of client’s requirements to translate between business need and technical requirement on proposals for multiple new building projects and refurbishments.
·Assisting with the development of design briefs and managing the design process
·Assisting with feasibility proposals, budget, and cost planning.
·Compiling project timelines and co-ordination of works in accordance with agreed programmes/deadlines.
·Negotiating costs with contractors and compiling Sub-contractor packages and trade orders
·Working within and managing project budgets.
·Monitoring the progress of projects, working with the Project Team to ensure delivery in accordance with the programme timeline and to the required quality standards.
·Preparing and presenting project reports to the client.
·Formal qualification in surveying or building OR relevant experience from within an alternative industry where transferable skills can be demonstrated.
·Experience of estimating/budget preparation.
·Understanding up to date construction technologies and methods and building regulations.
·Experience of designing and implementing complex M&E projects and building fabric works.
·Strong ICT skills
·CAD design skills desirable
·Experience of working in a hi-tech environment with some experience of scientific R&D/Production would be advantageous but not essential
