Support worker for an elderly disabled lady
A reliable support worker living locally is required to assist a disabled lady , based in Southwark SE16 .
- Personal care
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Picking up medication
- Emptying the bins
- Changing and replacing the bed linen
- Accompanying to some appointments - will need to know how to use a wheelchair
The ideal candidates will be able to work on a flexible basis and be extremely punctual. The candidate will need to have a good command of English and speak clearly.
The successful candidates will have experience of working with clients within a home setting or within a medical environment. They will need to provide a checkable work history. They should be very flexible in their approach and willing to work together to find ways to improve the everyday life. They should be trustworthy very compassionate and respectful. They will need to have a professional work ethic with the highest regard to confidentiality and discretion.
Hours: 13.75 hrs a week – Mostly mornings
Rate: £10.85 per hour
Proof of entitlement to work in the UK will be required at interview.
An Enhanced Disclosure Barring Certificate will be required for this position.
