Technical Co-ordinator Job Purpose:

Responsibility for the administration of quality control / inspection documentation of all TAFC products. To work closely with QA Auditors and Operations staff is assist in the driving of product quality, consistency and document accuracy. To accurately capture, investigate and report on customer complaints. To administrate the rework list. To support the Technical Manager in the achievement of A grade BRC accreditation.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. To audit food safety related paperwork to ensure that all aspects of the process are under control with regards to the production of safe food, as required by current food safety legislation and HSE requirements.

2. To ensure that all checks and controls are recorded as dictated by the Quality Manual and associated SOPs.

3. To file all said documentation and ensure it’s availability for future scrutiny by internal and external auditors.

4. To positive release all TAFC stock from UK after successful microbiological and organoleptic analysis and to manage the transfer of stocks to the various third parties.

5. To ensure all daily, weekly and monthly checks such as microbiological analysis, speciation testing, shelf life testing, traceability and mass balances and water testing is completed against the timetable.

6. Support and collate any information concerning any action required by customer, 3rd party or enforcement officer.

7. Complete traceability and mass balance challenges as required from audit, investigation or other non routine requirements.

8. To collate and log all internal audit and GMP audit data and ensure effective and timely close out of all actions raised.

9. To review and collate all pest control reports on electronic portal and ensure effective and timely close out of all actions raised.

10. To complete internal audits and GMP audits as when required

11. Review, update and maintain accuracy of all Technical display boards

12. To carry out basic cover for the Technical Manager during absence

13. To ensure the Health & Safety of yourself, direct and indirect reports.

Preferred qualifications:
Level 2 Food Safety
Level 2 HACCP


Preferred skills base:

Knowledge of TROPOS and XPO stock control systems
Knowledge of Hamilton Grant
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Presentation skills
Displays effective communication, listening, influencing & persuading skills at all levels.
Analysis of verbal, numerical and written information.
Self-organisation, motivation, planning, prioritising and time management.
