Rate of pay: £10 per hour
About the Job
The purpose of this role is to offer support to me. I am an older lady who has physical disabilities, living in Llandudno, seeking a female personal assistant/support worker. The duties of this role would primarily be to support me with my daily living tasks and assistance with personal care and occasionally to go out in the community to access social activities.
Responsible to: You will be directly responsible to your employer
To accompany me on outings & activities. These may include shopping , meetings and training courses in addition to clubs, daytrips, and hydrotherapy / swimming etc. driving my vehicle
To drive my vehicle in a safe and competent manner and to transfer my wheelchair in and out of the car.
To assist with transferring me safely and competently in and out of my chair from bed and other locations
To ensure that my personal hygiene is maintained in a safe and dignified manner.
If required, to prepare my meals, drinks or snacks, giving due regard to food hygiene at all times.
Undertake any other duties which may be reasonably allocated & fall within the scope & responsibility of this role.
To undertake any relevant training.
The successful applicant should:
Have a good awareness of safe manual handling practice.
Have previous experience of supporting adults with a disability.
For motor insurance purposes, you must be aged over 25 years.
Establish a professional standard of care which should be maintained at all times.
Ensure that due consideration is given to our Health & Safety at all times.
Undertake this role with due regard to my physical, social, educational & recreational needs.
Respect & safeguard my goods & property.
Respect my privacy & uphold confidentiality at all times.
Be punctual, reliable & flexible.
