This role is fixed-term for 18 months with potential conversion to a permanent role.

We’re a housing provider in Macclesfield with over 5000 properties across East Cheshire and the surrounding areas. 

Working as part of a team of Accountants, you will work on all aspects of finance with responsibility for the integrity of sections of the accounts, meeting statutory requirements and providing support to specific areas of the business with the aim of driving improvement.

This includes the production of monthly management accounts and support to operational managers in interpreting the numbers, improving cost control and making sound business decisions based on the results. The role also involves Financial Planning, statutory accounts, balance sheet management and supporting the Treasury function. In addition you will produce reports for internal and external customers and provide support on projects to deliver continuous improvement in financial and management accounting.

You will be part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or AAT level 4 or have significant QBE (Qualified By Experience), with experience of working in a busy finance function. You will also have excellent problem solving skills, the ability to quickly learn new accounting systems and experience of delivering reporting by drawing together data elements from a variety of sources. Advanced IT Skills, including Microsoft Excel are also essential.
