Job Title: Personal Assistant/Support Worker
Hours: 23.5 hours per week (support will be double handed)
Rates of Pay: £10.50

About the job:
The purpose of this role is to provide support and assistance to a lady who has had a stroke, is visually impaired and who has limited mobility. You will be required to assist her with her daily activities, which will include personal care support and social activities.
Days and times to be discussed at interview.
Exception applied under the Equality Act 2010 – Female PA’s only
This will include light domestic duties, assistance with meals and hot drinks, shopping and meal preparation.
Attention to the personal safety and well being of the citizen whilst preforming duties.
Some personal care to be discussed and agreed between PA and employer
The purpose of the role is to provide assistance in every day tasks which are currently challenging for the citizen and increase her quality of life
Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed.
Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.
Establish a professional standard of care which should be maintained at all times.
Have understanding of personal care needs
Respect and safeguard the goods and property of the client.
Respect the privacy of the client and uphold confidentiality at all times.
Be trustworthy and kind
Be punctual, reliable and have some degree of flexibility
To be enthusiastic and be aware of motivational role
Have clear knowledge around maintaining a healthy life style/diet
This role is one of empowerment via support for the citizen.
A Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and two satisfactory references may be required for the post. This is a free and confidential process.
