This is an ideal opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to develop an IT data system that is fundamental to our business operations and finances, whilst also providing an opportunity to engage with the Karro group sites and suppliers.

Leading a master data team, the post-holder will report into the Head of financial, planning and analysis (FP&A) making an immediate and ongoing impact to the business, from site level, right up to the CFO. Responsible for driving improvements in the way the business manages it master data as well as increasing operational efficiencies across the function.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of master data administrators
  • Driving the development and improvement of master data reporting processes
  • Improving operational efficiencies
  • Maintain and develop the existing master data throughout the business systems
  • Taking a hands-on and proactive approach to developing solutions in the system
  • Creating robust controls process around management of master data
  • Developing, implementing and owning master data requirements of one of the group’s newest systems; Anaplan
  • Assisting the with the implementation of group systems into future business acquisitions
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the group management accountant, accounts payable and finance teams as well as company suppliers
  • Work with the group management accountant and master data team in the setting of agreed performance targets, and reporting against the achievement of targets

 Skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in a similar role, preferably within a large organisation
  • Understanding of the financial implications of master data management
  • Dealing with stakeholders throughout the business, including senior directors
  • Strong systems knowledge, ideally SAP
  • Experience of working with large data sets
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to communicate confidently internally & externally
  • People leadership, management and development skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills
