Thompson Aero Seating are hiring a Finance Business Partner – Programmes to join our Finance department. The newly create role will involve supporting the Programmes and Engineering teams in analysis of programme costs to drive continuous improvement and support the company in achieving its financial targets.

The successful candidate will:

  • ​​​​​​​Analyse non-recurring costs and work to-date by programme working closely with Programme Managers
  • Develop and maintain a process to enable Programme Managers to ensure regular, timely and accurate forecasts are prepared and reviewed
  • Work with the Head of Programmes to lead monthly contract/programme reviews
  • Provide appropriate monthly management information & analysis and commercial support for the Design Engineering team
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles in the business (at a programme and company level) with high-quality financial information
  • Review non-recurring engineering (‘NRE’) revenue information for new bid process, working with Commercial Finance Business Partner
  • Work alongside the CFO, Senior Finance Business Partner and finance team to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or equivalent with very strong analytical skills, accompanied with a good understanding of manufacturing environments and MRP systems. The successful candidate will also hold strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a team player who is well organised and self-motived. Experience of long term contract accounting is desirable but not essential.
