Support worker in Peckham area

Two reliable support workers living locally are required to assist a gentleman, based in Southwark SE15 (Peckham). 

Duties: 

• Personal care (e.g. wash and dry feet, help put on compression socks) 
• Domestic cleaning – hovering, dusting, polishing and washing up 
• Assist with meal preparation  
• Ironing – clothing and bed linen 
• Loading and emptying the washing machine  

• Emptying the bins 
• Changing and replacing the bed linen 
• Empty, clean and disinfect urinal  
• Accompany to appointments and help to get dressed 

*The successful candidates will be part of a team, expected to cover each other on annual leave and sick leave* 

The ideal candidates will be able to work on a flexible basis and be extremely punctual. The candidate will need to have a good command of English and speak clearly. 

The successful candidates will have experience of working with clients within a home setting or within a medical environment. They will need to provide a checkable work history. They should be very flexible in their approach, young at heart and willing to work together to find ways to improve the everyday life. They should be trustworthy very compassionate and respectful. They will need to have a professional work ethic with the highest regard to confidentiality and discretion. 

Hours: 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon to be shared  

Rate: £10.85 per hour  

Proof of entitlement to work in the UK will be required at interview. 

An Enhanced Disclosure Barring Certificate will be required for this position.
