*Female Paediatric Support Worker required for a delightful and bright little girl who sustained brain damage at birth and is suffering from developmental delay.  Our client lives in the Hornchurch area.

We are seeking bubbly, enthusiastic, energetic and dynamic team members to work with our client in a supportive role within the family home.

Our client is a delightful 9-year-old girl who has behavioural difficulties and challenges with developing her social skills.  She is physically very active and full of fun. You will need to be energetic.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for developing and implementing an activity timetable in collaboration with our client’s parents, to include after school clubs, board games and outdoor activities.

You will assist and support with her therapy programmes. Full client specific training will be provided to enable you to support our client.  High standards of documentation will be expected and IT skills are essential.

Initial hours are as follows, as this is a new post the hours may increase.

2.30pm to 7.00pm – Monday

12 noon to 7.00pm – Wednesday

12 noon to 7.00pm – Saturday

8.00am to 11.00am – alternate Thursday

8.00am to 7.00pm– alternate Thursday

School holidays 11.00am-7.00pm – Monday, Wednesday and Thursday

Additional hours over the weekend and school holidays, plus babysitting, can be negotiated with the client's family.

Applicants who have volunteer experience with children would also be considered, along with therapy students.  Excellent communication skills are essential.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable.  Alternatively, the applicant must undertake the Care Certificate training.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and very flexible.

Rates of pay: £15.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £17.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday.

All posts are subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential along with your own vehicle.
