The role

You will play a key role in leading product innovation, development, and implementation across our business, to evolve our existing products and to deliver our new product pipeline which grows and sustains our business. You will lead multiple critical product projects, working internally and with external suppliers, ensuring that all aspects of the product development process are delivered.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team you will define the product vision, strategy and roadmap. You will gather, manage, and prioritise market and customer requirements to help to shape our vision.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with the strategic growth by working seamlessly with operational and technical leaders across the business to ensure client facing products are optimised and understood consistently across the business.
  • Assist with Sales and Marketing teams to execute business development initiatives through the optimisation of existing products and new product development. 
  • Drive sales, profit and margins for product groups.
  • Working and partnering with the business teams to deliver successful product launches.
  • Utilising insight and end-user testing, take the customer trends to drive best in class product management.
  • Assess product market data by meeting customers and strategic partners engaging with key industry bodies and events.
  • Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analysis.
  • Determine product pricing in partnership with the Head of Commercial and Chief Operating Officer by using market data, reviewing product cost base and sales costs.
  • Partner closely with the Technology Team, to ensure our platforms are robust and aligned to meet our long-term product visions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness.
  • Liaise internally with various other departments and functions across the business.
  • Keep up to date with market and sector trends and developments.
  • Build strong networks externally especially across the Education sector.

  • Able to demonstrate a broad range of knowledge and experience product development and customer bases
  • Passionate and self-motivated, keen to take on new challenges to evolve their role and responsibilities as the business changes.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with the credibility to engage, influence and gain the confidence of others
  • Flexible and able to multi-task; can work with an ambiguous, fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions, demonstrating resourcefulness in setting priorities.
  • Commercially astute with an analytical and numerate mind, able to rapidly analyse multiple sources of information and present clear conclusions bringing clarity to complex topics.
