Personal Assistant/Mentor for a young teenager with Autism
A reliable Male personal assistant/mentor who is energetic, bubbly and creative is required to support an autistic 17 years old in Southwark, SE1 (Elephant and Castle).
The ideal candidate would preferably but not essential have previous experience of working with autistic children, and possess a calm, kind and caring disposition.
The ideal candidate will be punctual and need to be able to work on a flexible basis. The personal assistant will need to have their own oyster card to take the young person on outings.
- Morning support help teenager tidy up room, personal care and grooming.
- Afternoon support taking him out on a variety of activities such as sport centre for basketball, trips to the cinema, bus rides and the park.
A current Enhanced DBS and traceable references will be needed before the applicant is offered the post.
Proof of entitlement to work in the UK will be required at interview.
An Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service Check will be required for this position.
