Job Purpose and work duties

Job purpose: To enable the employer to maintain their independence by assisting with all aspects of an active professional, personal and social life.

Work Duties will include:

I love to live life to the full and don’t let being disabled get in the way. I am always trying out new things and love to have lots of projects on the go. Socialising and family are really important to me but I equally enjoy my own space. Every day is different and may not always be planned, I just take each day as it comes both good and bad – as sometimes my disability requires a bit of attention.

Helping with

I am a female wheelchair user with a complex neurological condition that can affect my whole body and includes me being registered blind. Duties include all aspects of personal care, food preparation, and everyday tasks. I require assistance with sliding transfers and help moving and stretching my body which has high muscle tone and spasticity.



To undertake a busy social and professional life including, meeting friends, shopping, walking outdoors, attending meetings, reading and writing emails and correspondence and going to Church.


Undertaking activities for employer

Supermarket shopping, laundry, house cleaning and food preparation.




Other requirements – A good level of English and communication skills.

Hours and rate of pay

I have 1 position available working on a 4 weekly rota.

Week 1:  Saturday

Week 2:  Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday

Week 3: Saturday

Week 4: 0 hours

All shifts are 24 hours from 8am until 8am. Each shift is broken down into 15 hours paid at an hourly rate (8am-11pm) and a sleep in (11pm-8am) at a fixed rate.

Pay rates:  Hourly rate £9.20 and sleep in rate £71.28.

Requirements for applicant

A good level of fitness and travel within the UK and Europe may be required. Non smoker preferred.  Driver preferred. Female preferred.
