Job Description

Main Purpose of Role:

  • Define and implement a clear IT strategy.
  • Lead, direct and manage the ICT function including desktop support, proprietary systems, existing and new, hardware acquisition and distribution functions.
  • This includes managing the Support team as well as multiple suppliers.





Key Tasks

Provide technical direction, innovation and guidance for the team and the business.

Hands on with the day-to-day ICT estate and managing 3rd party suppliers and existing ICT staff to ensure they are providing the required services, within SLAs and Budgets

Main Duties

  • Managing the strategic and day to day ICT function, ICT change, external ICT vendor management with a proven track record in doing so
  • Processes, resource, and budget management.
  • Ensure technology meets the requirements as set out by agreed KPI's, SLA's.
  • Define the services that ICT offer and work with the business to ensure that these meet the ongoing needs of the business.
  • Responsible for the delivery of ISO27001
  • Development of the Office 365 applications
  • Responsible for the Development of the Power BI platform and Power Apps across the organisation.
  • Ensure the appropriate infrastructure/Support for business needs both current and future.
  • To manage all third-party IT vendors and to ensure that the appropriate balance between internal resources and external vendors is maintained. Ideally reducing the need for external vendors
  • To work with audit, Risk and Compliance resources and other key stakeholders to ensure that IT conforms with all risk and compliance initiatives.
  • To own and ensure that all ICT work is to a concise set of methodologies and that these are supported by the appropriate policies and procedures.

Person Specification


  • Experienced with a variety of technologies in infrastructure, virtualised, software, applications, cloud, and mobile environments.
  • Ability to drive best practice processes within a business including data quality and integrity throughout the business
  • Good understanding of IT security and IT risk management frameworks
  • Knowledge & experience of ISO27001
  • Understanding of Dynamics NAV
  • Understanding of ITIL Frameworks


  • Proven proficiency of basic SQL.
  • Stakeholder and client relationship management
  • Application Development (including Proprietary Systems) and Service Management with commensurate management experience

Additional Tasks

Carry out any other duties that can reasonably be requested from time to time within the skills, training and experience required for this position.

Reporting To:

Operations Director

Hours of Work per Week

Whilst the core hours of work are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break, we require flexibility regarding working hours. On occasions, be required to work additional hours to fit the needs of the business.


20 days holiday


This IT Managers position requires the individual to be fully onsite, which is based at the Head Office in Maisemore, Gloucestershire and does not offer remote working.
