Warehouse Operative

£19k - £22k per annum

D&D Corporation Ltd is currently recruiting for the position of a Warehouse Operative for our e-commerce business within the SL2 5 area. We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, honest and hard-working person who is well organised and has excellent stock management skills. In return we can offer between £19-22K per annum dependent upon experience.

This key role within the company requires the candidate to work autonomously receiving deliveries and accurately checking stock levels.  As the role is focused on Health care and household branded products, the successful candidate must have the ability to think logically, plan ahead of time and have an all hands-on deck attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check and count the condition of goods received during deliveries
  • Segregate, record and maintain stock levels
  • Ensure stock is stored correctly and safely at designated place
  • Load pallets on/off delivery trucks
  • Package products to be dispatched
  • Build and stack pallets with orders
  • Keep the stock room neat and tidy at all times.
  • Meet weekly targets in relation to accuracy, stock levels, tidiness and shipment of parcels.
  • Other general warehouse operative duties

The successful Warehouse Operative will have the following skills and abilities:

  • Able to analyse and plan ahead in order to manage stock within the limited space available.
  • Experience of picking and packing orders
  • Honest, hardworking and organised
  • Mature approach to work - always keeping health and safety in mind
  • Physically fit: The role requires lifting and movement of stock therefore a reasonable level of fitness is required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and still deliver first class performance
  • Positive mental attitude
  • Commitment to the role that is not limited to the normal working hours
  • Willing to learn, grow and achieve results

The basic hours of work are Monday – Friday, 08:45am-17:30pm with 45 minutes lunch break and 10 minutes for a tea break plus 1 weekend day each week. You will be paid extra for hours worked over the weekend.
