Support Workers required to work closely with a happy young girl who lives at home with a supportive young family in the Brighton area.
We are looking for sociable, energetic support workers to support our 20-month-old client in all daily activities. This includes self-care, daily therapy and leisure. She likes going out to the Sea Life Centre, to the beach and swimming.
The successful applicants will be working in the family home where she lives with her mum and older three-year-old sister.
You will be expected to administer nutrition and medication through our client’s PEG and ensure she is comfortable. You will learn how to monitor her epilepsy and know when to seek assistance. All training will be provided prior to commencement in post.
The shifts are flexible and will include a combination of both day and night shifts.
Previous experience of working with children who have profound and multiple learning difficulties is preferred.
Working hours: 36 hours per week.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.
Rates of pay: £16.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £18.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided.
