Role Overview

Due to on-going expansion, we have opportunities for CNC Turners and CNC Millers who have experience in programming, setting and operating in a busy and dynamic workshop environment.

Our environment is busy and dynamic and the work diverse, interesting and rewarding. We have one-offs through to small batch, repeat work in a variety of materials from ferrous to nickel alloys.

Full support and training will be offered to successful candidates to assist in the adjustment from other machine shop environments.  

Candidate Profile

  • Apprentice trained with a suitable work history.
  • Applications considered from Graduates with a degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • Experienced working to tight tolerances and meeting Customers’ exacting requirements.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of writing programs on the duck board.
  • Team player with a positive “Can-Do”, methodical and solutions-based approach.
  • Comfortable working to systems and procedures, but able to think clearly and independently.
  • Able to communicate with colleagues at all levels, and be committed to always helping move the business forwards.

Pay, Conditions and Opportunities

  • Permanent position.
  • 38.5 hours basic working week, plus overtime x1.5 and x2.
  • Approximate £38,000 annual salary is calculated on a basic working week plus overtime of approximately 4-8 hours per week at x1.5.
  • Pay is reviewed annually in July.
  • Basic hours are Mon – Thu 07.00-15.45 (30 mins unpaid lunch break) and Fri 07.00-12.30.
  • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
