Job Purpose and work duties

Job purpose:

To help and assist me with my swimming activities as well as shopping. I am a blind lady with Mental health such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), I suffer from Panic attacks and Chronic Depression. I am also Asthmatic, Diabetic and suffer with IBS. I do love to keep fit and healthy as I have a huge love and passion for swimming. I’m fun to be around and love having banter and joking about myself a lot!

 

Work Duties will include:

Swimming activities in the leisure center or at the beach as well as Sick & Holiday cover/overtime if my other PA is unwell or takes Annual leave and the returned.

Helping with

Assistance with shopping for essentials in town, driving and parking is eligible as I have a disability badge. Also I will need prompting to take my medication and also to have assistance with taking me to and from my appointments.

 

 

Supporting

I am a blind lady who wishes to carry on my swimming trips and needs assistance getting in and out of the swimming pool, the applicant will need to have good swimming skills and physical health, as I am a strong swimmer myself. I also love swimming in Brighton & Hove sea, so I will need assistance whilst in the sea.

 

Other requirements

Mental Health and Care experience. Must have a full UK driving license & experience driver, due to being blind and my love for swimming I will need a female applicant due to the changing rooms and needing assistance in the showers and changing rooms. Really easy going and loves to have a laugh as I like to have to banter (young at heart!) and to gradually gain understanding of my conditions

Hours and rate of pay

Temp role- 6 hours per week

£9 per hour
