Interim Scheduler (Temporary 6 Months)


Job Purpose

To support business planning process. Production scheduling daily, weekly & monthly for all sites to ensure material, equipment and labour requirements are forecasted and planned to deliver 100% customer service. To develop and operate planning systems and work closely with the Demand Planner and Head of Supply Planning.


What you will contribute

  • To create, modify and manage daily/weekly/monthly production schedules across multi site operations, including labour plans
  • Monitor inventory levels and regularly providing production status updates to management and facilitating timely delivery of pro ducts to customers
  • Producing and communicating key planning KPI’s
  • Implementing planning IT software systems eg Preactor to develop consistency and improve efficiencies
  • Coordination of production operations to schedule materials and labour requirements and machine optimisation
  • Working closely with the Commercial, Operations and Procurement teams and effecting changes to production schedules to ensure 10 0% customer service
  • Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs and improve production processes through providing optimum manufactu rin g schedules
  • Develop contingency plans to manage non adherence to production schedules and timely reporting to relevant departments of cha nge s to production and packing schedules
  • Working with innovation and NPD teams to schedule production trials and customer visits/audits


What you will bring

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a planning role in FMCG
  • Knowledge of IT software systems, including MRP, SAP and preferably Preactor , Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail. CI knowledge and experience would be advanta geo us
  • Solution driven personality to provide a balanced, calm approach to support the operations team
  • Experience in working in cross functional teams and actively participate in business continuity planning and business models
  • Substantial experience in stock control, shelf life and raw materials/packaging inventory and customer requirements
  • Experience in directly communicating with customers and logistics providers
