Part-Time Support Worker/Buddy required for an active twenty-five year old gentleman who has an acquired brain injury living in the Hereford area.
He requires somebody to have fun with and to share and enjoy activities with, while keeping him safe. This includes going to the gym and playing cricket, football, snooker and other sports.
The successful applicant would be supporting his independence by following rehabilitation programmes set by a private therapy team. The job may involve accompanying him on holiday, supporting him to carry out his part-time work and to take medication. Our client requires an organised, flexible person who loves animals and is also able to fit in with a family environment.
Experience is not necessary, as all training and support can be given. An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable, otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

Hours of work are 80 hours per month to include daytimes, evenings, weekends and sleep-in nights.
Rates of pay £14.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £16.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday and sleep-in shifts will be paid at £87.20 per shift.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring. A full driving licence is essential.
