Paediatric Support Worker

An enthusiastic and patient Paediatric Support Worker is required for a teenager who has cerebral palsy living in the Crowborough, East Sussex area.

 

The successful applicant will assist our client with becoming an independent young adult.  The role is based in his family home.

 

You will accompany him to football coaching, trampoline lessons and gym sessions.

 

You will also drive him to his activities and accompany him on walks.

 

In addition, you will also be required to complete duties in the home, such as preparing his meals and processing his laundry.

 

Applicants must have experience of working with children or adults with autism and also enjoy sports activities.

 

Working hours:

1 x 8 hour weekend day shift per week in term time (39 weeks of the year).

4 x 8 hour day shifts in the school holidays, this includes both weekdays and weekends (32 hours per week, 13 weeks of the year).

 

There will be additional evening shifts and overnight shifts as and when required.  These will be agreed in advance.

 

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

 

Rates of pay £13.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £15.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday.

 

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

 

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
