Experienced Paediatric Support Worker

Sociable, energetic Paediatric Support Worker required for a 20 month old little girl living in the Brighton area.

The successful applicant will be working in the family home where the client lives with her mother and older sibling.

You will support her in all her daily activities and you will be expected to administer nutrition and medication through her PEG and ensure she is comfortable. You will learn how to monitor her epilepsy and know when to seek assistance. All training will be provided prior to commencement in post.

Experience of working with children who have profound and multiple learning difficulties would be an advantage.

Working hours: 36 hours per week, made up of day shifts 9.00am to 9.00pm and night shifts 9.00pm to 9.00am.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

Rates of pay £14.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £16.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring.  Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
