People Development Manager

About the Role:

In order to achieve our ambitions, Compusoft will need to continue to professionalise it’s back office and improve its HR output / insight. With that in mind, we are looking for a People Development Manager to join a newly established and growing People Team. The People Development Manager will support the People and Management Teams in developing and implementing award winning learning strategies and programmes. The successful candidate should be passionate about helping people to learn and grow, and helping companies to succeed by training and developing their people. This position is based in our London office and reports into the People Director also based there however flexible working will be possible. There will also be international travel as and when required so the candidate must be comfortable with business travel.

Key Position Responsibilities include:

  • Setting the vision and strategy for internal learning, aligning learning processes with strategic and tactical plans • Creating and executing learning strategies and programmes.
  • Developing and implementing learning programs that make the best use of available resources.
  • Evaluating individual, functional and organizational development needs
  • Implementing various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training).
  • Designing and delivering educational materials, e-learning courses, seminars, workshops and other trainings.
  • Updating learning programs to ensure that they are current.
  • Sourcing and contracting training and L&D Specialists and negotiating contracts.
  • Reviewing learning materials from a variety of vendors and select materials with appropriate content.
  • Maintaining relationships with vendors and consultants.
  • Creating and managing a learning budget, ensuring that operations are within budget.
  • Teaching learning methods and skills to instructors and supervisors • Supporting managers develop their team members through career pathing.
  • Assessing the effectiveness and success of learning programmes and development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.

Required experience and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a L&D Manager.
  • Additional experience in Learning and Development desirable.
  • Experience in customer service or technology environment.
  • Previous experience working for a SaaS company nice to have but not essential.
  • Experience working in complex, global organisation with exposure to international stakeholders.
  • Experience in a standalone role as well as working as part of a team nice to have but not essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or e-learning platforms.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPLP) is a plus.
