About the Employer 

I am 7 year old boy living in Wrexham with my mum and my brother. 


I am non verbal and use a communication board to communicate with individuals, this is a AAC board. I use Makaton with my mum, brother, dad and my friends. 

I require a PA for social support and to further grow my independence. 


Even though I don’t talk, I am very sociable and friendly, I love trains, trampolining, animals and meeting new people and visiting new places.  


Physical activities that I enjoy are riding my bike, swimming and horse riding. 



Summary of Duties 


To provide support to access various social and recreational activities. You must therefore have a clean driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance. 


To support and encourage development within play, play skills and creativity. 


To assist in the maintenance of independent living and so provide him with a greater range of opportunities to enhance his lifestyle. 


To support the employer in any reasonable task asked. 



All support to be provided using a person-centred approach. 


The post will include 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro-rata)

The ideal person will have a good sense of humour and should also display plenty of energy, initiative and enthusiasm. In addition, applicants should be patient and trustworthy with a flexible and empathic attitude. 


A positive attitude and clear understanding of confidentiality is essential. Promoting the independence of the client will be the main focus for any support. 


You must be reliable, friendly and punctual. 


You must be flexible as hours may vary depending on the monthly rota 


You will be expected to cover holidays and sickness as part of a team. 


The following skills / experience will be required – manual handling, first aid and food hygiene and Makaton training. Training can be provided. 


Hourly rate 

£8.72 - £10.04 

Hours of work 

Week 1 – Thursday 4.5 hours /  Friday 4.5 hours 

Week 2 -  Thursday 4.5 hours /  Saturday 6.5  hours 

Times required 

Week 1 –  

Thursday – 3.30 – 8.00 pm / Friday – 3.30 – 8.00 pm  

Week 2 –  

Thursday –3.30 – 8.00 pm / Saturday 10.00 am – 4.30 pm
