We are currently looking for a new Copywriter to join our team based in Chorley, Lancashire.

We are offering a highly competitive salary of £24,000 - £26,000 plus a range of excellent benefits.

This is initially a fixed term contract to run until December 31^st 2021.

Who you are

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Copywriter. This busy role primarily involves working with our clients to write content for their marketing campaigns. Typically this will involve email content, but you will also be asked to work on direct mail content. A secondary element of the role will involve supporting our in-house marketing team with their communications. As our Copywriter, you will be responsible for writing engaging, effective and clear copy.

Key duties as our Copywriter will include:

• Working with our in house campaigns team generate effective communications for our clients
• Understanding target audiences using data and experience of the business to create copy that will engage
• Developing email copy for our clients, and occasional direct mail copy

• Creating innovative, engaging copy for clients in line with their strategy
  
• Developing and adhering to a consistent tone of voice appropriate for our client’s audiences

• Working with our marketing teams to test and learn to measure the impact of words
  
• Participating in the development of creative ideas and concepts for marketing campaigns, working with the marketing team to drive creativity and innovation

Is it essential that you have;

• A degree or equivalent qualification
  
• A proven ability to write persuasive copy designed to sell
• Ability to write both long and short copy
• A portfolio of work displaying your ability and experience
• Excellent writing skills
• Accuracy and an eye for detail
• A willingness to take risks and can turn a ‘dry’ subject into a meaningful message
• An ability to write concise and engaging copy to tight deadlines
• Demonstrable experience of creating high quality copy for digital platforms
• Experience in creating and following brand and tone of voice guidelines

It is desirable that you have;

• Experience of optimising online copy to deliver maximum conversions
  
• Knowledge of SEO and writing content that supports SEO
• A knowledge of education and procurement in schools
