R&D Electronic Technician


Research and Development Technician

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electronic Research and Development technician to join ECU Testing Ltd based in Heanor, Derbyshire. You will be working as part of our research and development team and be responsible for the reverse engineering and development of remanufacturing solutions for complex automotive electronic control modules.

ECU Testing Ltd is an established Company experiencing rapid growth, recently moved into a new 30,000 sq ft facility located within Heanor Gate Industrial Park, nestled right on the edge of the historic and beautiful Shipley Country Park.

The Candidate.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in electronic fault diagnosis from component level to software diagnosis and will be highly motivated, organised, have excellent time management and be able to use their own initiative. You will have a keen eye for detail and be technical minded.

Key skills & experience:

  • Experience in reverse engineering of electronic hardware and software.
  • Experience in electronic fault finding and rework.

  • Experience in electronic schematic/wiring diagram drawings

  • Experience of automotive electronics and communication protocols.  
  • Experience working in a R&D environment.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm. Occasional overtime/out of hours work will be required.
