Digital Communications Officer

DCO-PPHT-C-38117
£25,655 per annum
Permanent
Macclesfield

We’re a housing provider in Macclesfield with over 5000 properties across East Cheshire and the surrounding areas. We’re ambitious with plans to build more homes, regenerate local areas and invest in our properties.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Digital Communications Officer to work with our Digital Comms Lead to create clear and engaging internal and external communications for the Trust.

We can offer you:

  • A minimum of 28 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays)
  • A great pension scheme that’s designed to suit your needs
  • Flexible working including home working
  • Access to our Health Cash Plan
  • Training and development - let us know where you want to get to and we’ll help you get there.
  • A focus on your health and wellbeing
  • A state of the art modern office with a friendly working environment

This role involves the creation of digital content for social media and our website, as well as news articles and press releases.

You’ll need to have a range of technical skills. We tackle straightforward photo-editing and video ourselves, but commission external agencies for trickier things. Above all you’ll need to be calm under pressure and enjoy coming up with creative solutions to comms conundrums.

As well as creating content for customers and stakeholders you’ll work internally on our staff app; our main internal communications channel. Your role will bring you in to contact with every department at the Trust, but you’ll work particularly closely with our customer teams to proactively shape content for them and react to social media too.

To succeed you’ll have experience of content design, social media management and a wide range of digital channels and outputs. Other key skills include innovative thinking and creative writing as well as the ability to work independently and calmly in order to meet deadlines.

A certificate in a communication or media discipline is desirable, but not essential. What we’re really after is someone with an eye for great design, a love of words and how to use them in a powerful way and a strong customer focus.

If this all sounds like you we’d love to hear from you.

We value our people and care about our customers. It’s an exciting time to join the Trust as a Digital Communications Officer so apply today.

Closing date: Monday 12th October 2020

Interview date: Tuesday 3rd  November 2020 (Via Microsoft Teams)
