This young man, 17, is a happy and affectionate. He loves running in open spaces, swimming, horse riding and other physical activities. He is autistic, has sensory processing disorder (SPD) and suffers from epilepsy. He is non-verbal and communicates with gestures and cards. He requires assistance with all aspects of personal care, daily activities, and social skills.
We are seeking a Team manager who will support with his home education programme, assist him to access as much learning as possible and achieve, where possible, appropriate targets set with parents. The candidate will use their initiative to adapt and implement a specific programme for his learning needs and implement techniques from his therapists and family to meet the needs of his EHCP. You will be responsible for report writing, support, training and management of his dedicated team and all necessary daily tasks as required. You will be a passionate teacher and an excellent communicator. You will be creative and have the ability to think outside the box when it comes to teaching. You will be excellent team player and be able to work alongside this young person’s multidisciplinary team, his parents, and personal assistants.
