Job Description

 

Job Purpose and work duties

Job purpose:

To assist with the day to day activities enabling the client to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets his chosen lifestyle. Client is 14 and diagnosed with Autism. Client has also been diagnosed with PTSD. Client also has behavioural difficulty and sensory processing disorder. Main duty for this job role is supporting client in the community.

 

Work Duties will include:

Helping with

    • Supporting client in the community.
    • Supporting client with life skillsSupporting

  • Individual needs to understand the complex needs for this client and ensure the clients safety
  • Support client with social and emotional skills
  • Support with challenging behaviour
  • Support client with life skills
  •  

Undertaking activities for employer

  • Ensuring client Is safe when carrying out any activities

 

Other requirements

  • Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
  • Assisting with management of client’s health risks
  • Establish and maintain effective communication
  • Maintaining confidentiality

Location

  • Within the employer’s home Portslade area.
  •  

 

 

Hours and rate of pay

10 hours @ £9.50 per hour

Weekends and hours after school.

Some flexibility is required around school holidays.

 

Requirements for applicant

  • Experience with working with Autism and PTSD individuals
  • Driver Required
  • Patience
  • Ability to understand and deliver the needs of the employer
  • Proactive
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required
