*Female Buddy to support a young person - Location: OX7 6- 12 hours a week, permanent or bank contract

Start Date: As soon as possible, interview will be arranged in the next few weeks

Essential:

  • Driver with full clean UK driving licence, own car required for work purposes,
  • Experience supporting teenagers / young adults with social, domestic (cooking) and study activity
  • Physically fit and a confident swimmer, enjoys walks and able to support with interest in horse riding
  • Enjoys and able to support with home cooking and art work

Days & Hours to be agreed with client:

Term time: After college and some weekend days

College holidays: some week days and weekend days

Payrates per hour: £14.00 weekdays £16.00 weekends  

Work related mileage paid.

About this client: The client is 16 years and lives at home in OX7. The client has cerebral palsy mainly affecting her fine motor and speech/communication skills, she is extremely capable.

An independent, social, bubbly and motivated teenager who enjoys a range of activities including horse riding, cooking, social activities, meeting up with friends and swimming.

Overview of role:

We are looking to employ a Buddy who is trendy and energetic, who can assist with social activities, hobbies and provide support with college work.

You will assist the client to continue to promote her independence, explore new hobbies and interests.

This role will suit an engaging and enthusiastic person with previous experience as a Buddy, TA /PA who shares similar interests and hobbies. You will have the opportunity to work with a kind, caring, witty and outgoing young person. On-going training and supervision will be available to the successful candidate.
