Accept Recruitment are currently recruiting for Semi-skilled Plastic Process Technicians for our client in Sherburn-in-Elmet.

Working as part of this successful plastics manufacturing group, the recycling business is looking to appointment experienced Multi-skilled technicians to support its growth plan.

The Role:

  • Ensure that recycling lines run to the specification and in a safe manner and every machine produces good quality, rPET pellets that meet specification.
  • Troubleshoot any defects, minimise machine downtime and carry out any remedial work as is necessary, within the technicians’ level of competence, to maximise machine efficiency.
  • Ensure feedstock is tested to ensure compliance with specification and finished product is tested in line with QMS.
  • Carry out regular reviews of the material quality though process utilising the in-line monitoring systems.
  • To remove, clean, refit, realign or carry out other necessary adjustments to parts of the recycling line.
  • Instigate containment and corrective actions in the event of non-conformance.
  • Carry out line maintenance in accordance with planned programme.
  • Ensure machines, ancillary equipment, and the immediate work area are always maintained to high standard of housekeeping & cleanliness.

 The candidate:

  • Electrical & Mechanical background / experience.
  • Experience with line setup, conditioning, maintenance & optimisation of plastics processing machinery, working to ensure that production lines achieve high levels of OEE performance.
  • Knowledge of the plastics manufacturing industry.
  • Flexibility is a key requirement as you will be working as part of a small team.
  • Knowledge of H&S procedures.
  • Experience of BRC Quality systems would be advantageous.
  • Experience working with Starlinger Extrusion would be advantageous.
  • Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills.

 

Shifts:

4on 4off shift pattern

2 days & 2 nights  (6-6)

Salary: £29k £31k per annum
