Multi-skilled Plastics Process Technicians
Accept Recruitment are currently recruiting for Multi-skilled Plastic Process Technicians for our client in Sherburn-in-Elmet.Working as part of this successful plastics manufacturing group, the recycling business is looking to appointment experienced Multi-skilled technicians to support its growth plan.This is excellent opportunity for individuals with a “hands-on/can do” attitude, offering job security and satisfaction for individuals with a proven track record of plastic manufacture, wishing to develop and learn. Ensure that recycling lines run to the specification and in a safe manner and every machine produces good quality, rPET pellets that meet specification.
Troubleshoot any defects, minimise machine downtime and carry out any remedial work as is necessary, within the technicians’ level of competence, to maximise machine efficiency.
Ensure feedstock is tested to ensure compliance with specification and finished product is tested in line with QMS.
Carry out regular reviews of the material quality though process utilising the in-line monitoring systems.
o remove, clean, refit, realign or carry out other necessary adjustments to parts of the recycling line.
Instigate containment and corrective actions in the event of non-conformance.
Carry out line maintenance in accordance with planned programme.
Ensure machines, ancillary equipment, and the immediate work area are always maintained to high standard of housekeeping & cleanliness.
Manage any material variations from standard by carrying out machine adjustments as required to process effectively.
Higher National Diploma in Electrical Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is essential
Experience of working as a Lead Engineer
Several years’ experience with line setup, conditioning, maintenance & optimisation of plastics processing machinery, working to ensure that production lines achieve high levels of OEE performance.
Knowledge of the plastics manufacturing industry.
Flexibility is a key requirement as you will be working as part of a small team.
Knowledge of H&S procedures.
Experience of BRC Quality systems would be advantageous.
Experience working with Starlinger Extrusion would be advantageous.
Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
Good communication skills.
4on 4off shift pattern
2 days & 2 nights (6-6)
£38,000 per annum
