Cooke Optics Ltd are the premium lens manufacturer in the cinematography industry. To continue building the workforce to respond to increasing sales demands, we are looking to increase the staff in our glass production environment.
Reading engineering drawings to identify key criteria
Handling and delicate working with glass components
Optical Component Cleaning and checking
Visual Inspection to high industry standards
Reading engineering drawings to identify key measurements
Using a variety of measuring equipment and instrumentation
Recording of collected data using standard Microsoft office programs
Prioritising work load, adapting to constantly changing production requirement
Using optical assembly equipment, following documented procedures, to bond glass elements and measure results for success criteria
Practical aptitude and evidence of good hand skills
Ability to work and adapt in a friendly team environment
Good eyesight (corrected by glasses or contact lenses is not a problem)
Good attention to detail
Eager to learn and take in comprehensive training
Previous experience of working with small delicate components or in an inspection role is an advantage but not a pre-requisite
The hours of work are as follows:
Monday to Friday 37 hours a week
5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays.
Company pension contributions of up to 8%.
In return for the above the successful candidates will receive a competitive salary with full training and development prospects. Following the training the applicant will be expected to work with minimum supervision, therefore must be self-motivated with a mature and responsible outlook.
