Job Description

 

Job Purpose and work duties

Job purpose:

To assist with the day to day activities enabling the employer to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets their chosen lifestyle.

Work Duties will include:

Helping with

    • Communication duites (making phone calls and writing letters on behalf of client)
    • Meal prepration
    • Prompting fulid intake (reminding client to remain hydrated)
    • Domestic tasks
    • Shopping
    • Taking client to appointments
    • Accessing the community (as when required)
    • Personal Care (as and when required)
    • Promoting medication (as and when required)
    • Simple DIY tasks (as and when required) 
    • Supporting
    •  
  • With day to day duties, ensuring client and 2-year-old son’s safety always.

 

Undertaking activities for employer

  • Ensuring clients home is hygienic and safe

 

Other requirements

  • Establish and maintain effective communication
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Working in a safe manner

Location

  • Within the employer’s home in Brighton – Elm Grove area
  •  

Hours of Pay

12 hours per week

£10.80 per hour (self-employed rate)

Please note: The successful candidate will need to provide the following information: - UTR number on a headed HMRC letter - DBS certificate - Insurance policy to provide care in client’s homes.

 

Requirements for applicant

  • Experience of working with client’s with Mental Health issues
  • Ability to support client in challenging situations
  • Ability to work in an improvised manor (especially with meal preparation)
  • Exceptional communicational skills
  • Ability to understand and deliver the needs of the employer
  • Ability to use initiative when carrying out all PA duties
  • Flexible, reliable and honest
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required
