Human Resources and Compliance Manager

£31,214 - £34,326 per annum

Tapton School Academy Trust (TSAT) was established in 2011 and is a charitable company limited by guarantee. 

TSAT encompasses eight academies, 5 primary and 3 secondary, and has over 6000 learners from 2 - 19 years, and a total of 850 staff.

The purpose of the role will be:

  • To manage the HR function for the Trust's schools around Sheffield, which provides an efficient, effective and high quality HR service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and corporate requirements and aligned with the Trust’s aims and objectives.
  • To act as key relationship for the Trusts outsourced payroll and HR advisory services.
  • To provide HR guidance to the Executive team, School Business Managers and Headteachers
  • To ensure compliance with Trust HR policies and other key policies.
  • To manage systems and procedures to ensure compliance with Regulation and Reporting requirements for the Trust.

You will need to be able to:

  • Be able to work under pressure 
  • Proactive, organised and methodical, with an ability to grasp detail and complexity and reach appropriate resolutions
  • Flexible approach to duties and to working hours, to ensure business runs smoothly
  • Experience at a senior level dealing with complex staffing and employment issues
