Job Title: Personal Assistant


Location: Hanford, Stoke On Trent


Day/Times: Flexible (after school hours 2.30pm onwards, or weekends) Hours: 4 per week – to be provided in a block session.


Rate of pay: £8.21 per hour


Purpose of the Job:

I have a diagnosis of Epilepsy, Dyspraxia, Sensory processing disorder, preceptive difficulties and ligamentous laxity. I can experience poor motor skills and can become very sensitive to certain touch textures and noises due to my sensory impairment.

The purpose of the role is to support me to access activities of my choice in the community.

Personal Assistant Specification:

My assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable, must respect my privacy and maintain my dignity at all times.

My assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition. You must be able to work well independently.

Experience working with children with epilepsy (and training in administering emergency medication) is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.

To be able to drive and hold a full UK driving licence – this is preferred requirement.



My personal assistant is accountable to my parents in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.

Cat Café in Stone

Trips to the zoo/aquarium as I love anything to do with animals.

The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; I may on occasions reasonably request additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.
