Experienced young and dynamic *Female Children’s Support Workers required for a delightful and bright little girl who sustained brain damage at birth and is suffering from developmental delay. Our client lives in the Hornchurch area.
We are seeking bubbly, enthusiastic, energetic and dynamic support workers to work with our client in a supportive role within the family home.
Our client is a delightful 6-year-old girl who has behavioural difficulties and challenges with developing her social skills. She is physically very active and full of fun.
The support workers will also be responsible for developing and implementing an activity timetable in collaboration with our client’s parents. To include after school clubs, board games, and outdoor activities.
The support workers will assist and support with her OT therapy programme and additional therapies. Training will be provided to enable you to support our client.
The support worker will be expected to attend all training that will be client specific. High standards of documentation will be expected, and IT skills are essential.
Working hours: the contracted hours will be 16-20 hours per week, as this is a new post the hours may increase. Initial hours are:
2.30pm to 7.00pm – two afternoons per week
2.30pm to 10.30pm – Friday
12 noon to 6.00pm – Saturday
8.00pm to 11.00pm – alternate Saturdays babysitting
10.00am to 6.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, during the school holiday
Applicants must have experience working with young children along with some understanding of brain injury, or an educational background. Applicants who have volunteer experience with children would also be considered. Excellent communication skills are essential.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Alternatively, the applicant must undertake the Care Certificate training.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.
A full driving licence is required.
Rates of pay: £14.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £16.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday
All posts are subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential along with your own vehicle.
