Clinical Lead Nurse

£18.05 per hour
37.5 - 0 / per week - Full-Time

We are Ashbourne Lodge Care Home, an award-winning residential and nursing home in the heart of Ashbourne. We have an excellent local reputation, well established relationships with local health and social care professionals, and were rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission. We are consistently full and have a long waiting list for beds. We are looking for our next spectacular Clinical Lead Nurse to take the lead of the nursing care at the home and manage our full team of committed and passionate nurses.

Your duties will be varied and include the following:

  • Ensuring that all aspects of care afforded to each Resident is of the highest quality and is person-centered reflecting their individual needs and preferences
  • Ensuring that Care Plans are written with a person-centered focus and are reflective of all aspects of their care
  • Ensuring that The Group’s excellent reputation for high-quality care is maintained and promoted in the local community
  • Ensure that the NMC Code of Conduct is adhered to at all time
  • Support the Registered Manager in order to ensure that the Home complies with relevant regulations and legislation;
  • Control and give any medication as prescribed with proper monitoring of the drug, dose, time, route and person to whom it is given, following the Medication Policy and Procedure laid out in the Quality Manual and clinical guidelines and completing necessary documentation.
  • Support the Registered Manager in ensuring that care staff supervisions, performance appraisals, and assessments are carried out and followed up on in order to identify and promote appropriate training and/or individual achievement requirements
  • Mentor new nurses, care assistants and care leaders as required
  • Ensure that any staffing issues are dealt with by following the policies and procedures
  • Complete nurse checklists and report any issues to Registered Manager
  • Liaise with the Registered Manager on any all matters concerning the running of the Home which need their attention or approval
  • Ensure all fire checks are completed in accordance with the daily fire checklist and any issues brought to the immediate attention of the Registered Manager.

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours weekly, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
