I live in Lower Easton and I am a mature woman of Caribbean descent. I require support within my home and in the community.

Helping with

  • Personal care including washing and bathing.
  • Shopping – helping with making online or phone orders for goods or services to my home (which include repairs and light maintenance). Occasional grocery shopping.
  • Household cleaning including laundry.
  • Supporting me in discussions with contractors when arranging for minor work to be carried out in my home.
  • Helping to identify risks to health and safety as I sometimes overlook these.
  • My son is my main carer and helps me with packing away groceries and with food preparation but I would need help with these when he is unable to do it.
  • Eventually assistance with going out locally to go to parks or for a cup of tea. Assistance with hospital and doctor appointments. I have problems with mobility and need support with this.

Other requirements

  • I am sensitive to noise and light.
  • My ability to speak isn’t great. I get around this by making lists and will clarify upon request if it’s not clear what I would like to be done.
  • I would like a Personal Assistant who is patient and willing to work at a gentle slow pace.
  • I would like a Personal Assistant who respects my boundaries.

Location and additional information

  • Within the home in Lower Easton and the local area.
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave
